Dear Students,

Applications for on-campus dorm swapping for undergraduate students are beginning soon.

Applicant Eligibility: Undergraduate students currently residing in on-campus dorms (excluding BOT Prince House residents)

Application Time: 10:00 AM, Feb. 21, 2024 (Wed.) to 5:00 PM, Jun. 14, 2024 (Fri.)(Late applications will not be accepted)

Application Process:

1. Please find another student to exchange with you.
2. Both parties must first apply online.
3. Both parties must inform their current dorm director; both dorm directors will confirm your intent to exchange in the system.
4. After both dorm directors have confirmed, both parties must bring their student IDs to the Student Housing Service Division to confirm the transfer and accommodation fee difference.
5. After completing the above procedure, both parties must move to their new dorms and check in within seven days.

Important:

1. Application for on-campus dorm swapping can only transfer to other dorms, and a student may only transfer dorms once a semester. To change the bed space in the same dorm, please contact the resident director directly.
2. Because students on the waiting list are still being allocated to dorms, students may not transfer to empty spaces in other dorms.
3. BOT Prince House residents may not transfer with on-campus dorm residents.
4. Freshmen dorm (Men 1st Dorm and Freshman Women Dorm) residents may only exchange with other freshmen in higher-year dorms. They may not exchange with other higher-year students. 
5. The Student Housing Service Division will start the dorm swapping procedure for the new semester on March 18, 2024(Mon.) By then, all the bedrooms of the graduated freshmen in higher-year dorms and those whose accommodation period is ending will be reassigned. Therefore, if you want to swap dorms with the above students, the due time will be March 15, 2024(Fri.)
6. Dorm swapping must be completed (move and check-in) in 7 days. If you want to transfer to the dorm after the summer vacation, you must apply in April. Please note the information to be announced.
7. Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year (September), the application for on-campus dorm swapping will be adjusted. Dormitories swapping in the same campus will maintain the current practice. Dormitories switching between the main campus and downtown dorms will be changed to a registration waitlist system, which will be open on the 4th week of every month during the semester for those who want to change campuses. A list of accommodation changes for the month will be drawn based on the applicants and vacancy status.
